Fannie Mae called the sheriff & postponed the eviction for 2 weeks & transferred her case from their eviction desk to the investigations desk while they work with Wells Fargo
She thanked her neighbors, ACCE, and Occupy SF

concerned residents will gather at the home of Monica Kenney at 180 Vienna St. at 6:00am Wednesday morning to demand that Fannie Mae rescind the sale of her home to Wells Fargo and that Wells Fargo work with her to stay in her home.
Monica, ACCE members and other community members are demanding a stop to this eviction but are also calling on elected officials to pause all foreclosure and eviction activity until the report by Assessor Phil Ting is further investigated and multi-state settlement by the Attorneys General is implemented.
“Owning a home in San Francisco was the realization of a dream for me,” states Monica Kenney. “This dream has become a nightmare because of the fraudulent and unjust actions of Wells Fargo. I am standing with my neighbors, to demand fair and equitable business practices from this bank and Fannie Mae. What Wells Fargo has done to me and to so many families, as is evident in Phil Ting's report, warrants a bigger investigation and a halt to ALL foreclosure and eviction activities.”
Like many Americans during the economic recession, Monica lost her job in 2010. She reached out to Wells Fargo (her lender) to seek a modification or assistance. In June of 2011 they offered her a forbearance agreement to reduce her monthly mortgage for 12 months while she continued seeking employment. She received the offer letter on June 27, and made her first monthly payment that day.
The following day, June 28, Wells Fargo sold Monica’s home at public auction to Fannie Mae.
She was scheduled for eviction today

This is Colmore Gate from Bull Street in Birmingham. It is an early 1990s shops and offices building.
Colmore Gate is an office and retail building in Birmingham, England. An example of early 1990s architecture by the Seymour Harris Partnership, the lift shaft is on the outside of the building and the windows are tinted a dark blue colour. The design blends a traditional look with modern materials and style. It is situated in the heart of the business district of Birmingham. The building is home to many large companies.
The building was constructed after the developers bought the patch of land off another developing company whilst they were constructing a building there. The structure of a building was on the site and it was taken down before construction of Colmore Gate began

Colmore Gate, shops and offices of 1990 - 92 by the Seymour Harris Partnership, with a fourteen-storey tower. Silver reflective glass and more blue pearl granite. The mullions defining the centre of each side end at the top in half-rounds, like Cass-Gilbert-period New York. Very dominating from Colmore Row and the Cathedral churchyard. Built for the Church Commissioners.
There is some building work going on at the bottom of the tower, not sure what they are doing. Maybe a new entrance? Refurbishment. Any ideas?

Now that I have my own business, I work from home most of the time and needed a desk in a separate room from the living room. This is my new desk in the corner of the dining room. I particularly like that the monitor is raised up a little. Need a new chair now though!

Springfield IL - Lyon House, Lincoln Home National Historic Site

The homes in Mr. Lincoln's neighborhood owe their names to the property owner of record during 1860, Abraham Lincoln’s final full year of residence in Springfield. The following information comes from the National Park Service:
Alexander Graham erected this two-story frame house around 1853. In 1856, Graham sold the property to Lemuel Ide, who rented out the house.
According to the 1860 census, the house was rented to Henson Lyon, a farmer. The Lyon family had moved to Sangamon County in 1834 and operated a farm two and a half miles east of Springfield. By 1860, Lyon, his son, Thomas, Huldah Burge and her three children, and three other persons resided in the structure.
By 1866, the Lyon and Burge families had moved. In 1868, the lots and house were purchased by Samuel Rosenwald, father of Julius Rosenwald, who became the well-known U.S. clothier, manufacturer, business executive, and philanthropist. Julius Rosenwald is best known as being a part-owner and leader of Sears, Roebuck and Company, and for the Rosenwald Fund which donated millions to support the education of African Americans, as well as other philanthropic causes in the first half of the 20th century. He was also the principal founder and backer for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago to which he gave over five million dollars and served as President from 1927 to 1932.
The Rosenwald family continued to live in the house until 1886. Several owners lived in the structure over the next few years. The exterior of the house was restored in 1970-71 by the City of Springfield and the Rosenwald Foundation, and was incorporated into Lincoln Home National Historic Site soon after.
