I know, mi espanol is so-so. But I was thrilled to find a bunch of these on a number of fixtures recently. I had no idea we still made anything in the good old U.S. of A anymore...

I've thought about the discussion here a time or three since we had it. Our host said: "Collective bargaining is bad for business and bad for the economy. It's not even good for employees."

When I see that label, I figure that the person who put it on there makes more and has better benefits than their un-represented brethren.

Particularly if they're a woman or person of color.

Of course, I could be wrong... life could be better
for those without a contract ...

For her final project in Entertainment Business Management, Sandra Rojas Gonzalez created a short film that will also serve as a proof-of-concept to draw interest and investment for a future web series.

Sandra began developing the world of ‘Growing Up Julianne’ with only the broadest idea for this modern fairy tale. As producer, it was up to her to assemble a team to make this concept a reality, from an experienced director to makeup artists, and to lead the production every step of the way.

"What you wanna be when you grow up?”
... I want when I grow up - I said as a child probably 7 years old,when my teacher asked, " I want to be Egyptologist, , novelist, photographer, writer, artist,teacher,linguist, actor, Oceanographer, traveler and presenter.

My teacher nodded with awe but I dropped the idea of oceanographer because of the sharks and Egyptologist as hard to find college in that major.

I became educator in ASL(American Sign Language)/Deaf Studies with some classes in arts, lingustics and creative writing during my college years.

I taught in that major for 14 years at a community college and as a freelance lecturer and love every moment of it.

Now I 'm seriously am thinking more into arts/photography and cardmaking business....

Ignite Phoenix is an information exchange for fostering and inspiring Phoenix’s creative community. In one evening, you hear 18 passionate speakers from our creative, technical, and business communities talking about their current projects or favorite ideas for just five minutes. Presentations will educate and inspire you, and maybe make you laugh in the process.
The Presentations

Up to 20 slides and 5 minutes is all you get. Not a second more. The presenters need to get to the point quickly, and make it exciting and engaging.

We welcome topics about anything that other people will find interesting. That’s a wide criteria and that’s just fine. If the most interesting submissions end up being technical, then Ignite will have a technical feel. There is a wide mix of topics.
