Isaac Mao (CN) is a software architect, entrepreneur and researcher specializing in learning technology and social technology. Isaac’s primary fields of endeavor are R&D, social work, business and technology. He is currently the director of or a consultant to a few non-profit programs and several for-profit enterprises in China. Together with David Sasaki (US) he curated this year's symposium on "Cloud Intelligence".

SP Signs - Cabrillo Hotel

The Cabrillo Hotel is a "residental hotel" in Downtown San Pedro. It occupies the corner of Centre and 7th Streets. The bar Godmothers & a liquor store are on the ground level on the 6th Street Side. There are two businesses on the Centre Street Side, one Happy Dave's diner, and another place that is simply an office for a self styled "success consultant".
This is the last of San Pedro's "residential hotels" and is home to an ever shifting population of transients and people on their way up from the very bottom or those just above it. In the past it was well known as a "getaway" for rich yuppies looking to have a bender & maybe spend time with a prostitute.
It's directly across from the Centre Street Lofts development, which probably means that it's days are numbered.
