Ambassador Harry K. Thomas, Jr. delivers the keynote address at the opening of the 20th Mindanao Business Conference on September 8 in Pagadian City. In his keynote address, Ambassador Thomas noted that President Obama has designated the Philippines as a Partnership for Growth country; one of only four countries and the only one in Asia chosen for the U.S. Presidential initiative. He pointed out that among the criteria for the selection are a country’s track record in partnering with the U.S. Government and its potential for continued economic growth.
