We were quite excited by the prospect of the Gold Coast being filled with yummy Japanese eateries to cater for the Japanese tourists. This notion was reinforced by the wonderful dinner at Yamaya the night before.
It was with this enthusiasm that we boldly ventured into Hakataya and expected the best ramen in Australia. Well, it perhaps was the best ramen in Surfers Paradise.
Don't get me wrong, the ramen was pretty good, but I think I'll stick to Momotaro Ramen in Melbourne or Yokozuna in Cairns. Judging by the crowd turnover and reaction, I think most were satisfied.
