Cashel street in downtown CHC has always been a pedestrian shopping street, but most stores were damaged by the 2010-2011 earthquakes. Re:Start is a fantastic semi-permanent replacement project with stores and cafes built into modular shipping containers, bringing life back into the Central Business District.
