The East Baker Historical Society Community Center secured a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Community Facilities (CF) Loan for the kitchen that enabled residents to prepare catered meals and to prepare and package food products. The USDA Strike Force Initiative has designated Baker County, GA as a Strike Force county selected to receive assistance to relieve persistent poverty in historically high-poverty counties.
